Court of Lord Lyon appointment

Leading genealogist Dr Bruce Durie, has been granted Right of Audience at the Court of the Lord Lyon, for the purpose of submitting new Petitions for Arms on behalf of others.
In Scotland, coats of arms and all other aspects of heraldry are regulated by Statute Law and adjudicated by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, the judge in his own Lyon Court.
Dr Joseph Morrow QG, the Lord Lyon, wrote to Bruce: “I am delighted to appoint you, with immediate effect and retrospectively from 1 January 2016, to submit petitions for the granting of new arms…”
The appointment runs for two years initially, and my be renewed by mutual agreement.
