I have been involved in general genealogical research in Scotland for over 20 years. I have experience in Scottish genealogy (particularly in the counties of Argyllshire, Fife and Forfarshire); as well as Scottish military history; medical history (particularly asylums); and, Scottish Poor Law records.  My M.Sc. dissertation in Genealogy (2015) was based on comparing patient records from the Scottish Borders District Lunatic Asylum in the late 19th century with Poor Law records.
