About: Liz Palmer
I graduated with the Postgraduate Diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde in 2013. Since then I have undertaken a variety of genealogical commissions for private clients; taught family history classes and given talks to family and local history groups, and co-ordinated several community history projects. I worked for over 10 years in Birmingham Archives before taking voluntary reduncy in 2015 and still retain a specialist interest in Birmingham records. I am currently embarking on a research project using 18th-century records from the Archives of Soho as the starting point.
