About: Sandie Uphill
I am a professional genealogist, based in Chertsey, Surrey, with nearly 40 years experience of researching family histories for friends and extended family. In 2019 I took my interest a step further by enrolling with the University of Strathclyde gaining a PGDip in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies. My background was as a school bursar and a director in the music industry. I am now retired and looking forward to spending time doing something I really enjoy. Helping others to find out more about their own families is extremely satisfying. All individuals and their families are unique and I am always excited to take on new projects. Surrey and London are the locations that I generally cover and I have developed a good deal of knowledge on the records of Scotland through my course. I also have a keen interest in parts of the USA and in particular, the records of Utah.
