Congratulations to Yvette Hoitink

We are delighted to announce that RQG member Yvette Hoitink, MLitt, CG, QG has graduated with a master’s degree with distinction in Family and Local History from the University of Dundee.

Yvette is a professional genealogist, writer, and lecturer from the Netherlands who specializes in research in the Netherlands and its former colonies. For her dissertation, she researched the reasons for emigration from Winterswijk, the Netherlands, to America between 1844 and 1878.

When asked what she will do next, Yvette shared that she is working on the New Netherland Settlers project, and will develop biographical sketches of those who resided in the colony of New Netherland prior to 1664.
