Ghostly Genealogy!
This Halloween, we asked our members for any eerie discoveries in their research. Here’s what they told us:
I once had someone ask me if I could help her find out about a ghost in her unused spare room that she was painting. It was a little girl but the family who owned the house had apparently only had boys. Spookily there was pink paint on the walls under the wallpaper. I did discover that a man had died in the house in 1937 but wasn’t able to identify the female ghost….

The house I’m writing a book about – I sent a photo of a former owner-occupier to the current owner. I had received the picture from a descendant of the former all the way in Canada. The current owner said ‘Oh, I’ve met her; she walked across my bathroom’! The former owner lived in the house in the 1860s…
