New Member- Linda Newey

Based in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, Linda has completed The Diploma in Genealogy (IHGS), and has a BA with the Open University.  She currently works as a librarian for Birmingham Library Service and has experience in teaching for Adult Education Services.

Linda’s work covers the historic counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and beyond and she has access to a variety of public or private archives as well as local, national and international archives.  No research piece is too small, and her interests extend to include British social history, house histories as well as family history.  Interests also include heraldry, inquest records, workhouse and parish records in particular.

Linda is now a professional genealogist operating as ‘Four Oaks Genealogy’. As well as providing a genealogy and family history service, she can present talks and educational workshops.
