New RQG Member Andrew Armstrong
Andrew achieved the PgDip in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies from Strathclyde University in 2012 and is based in Kelso, in the Scottish Borders.
His special areas of interest are the records of the Buccleuch Estates in the South of Scotland. Genealogy of the Border reiving families. He is a member of the Scottish Genealogy Network, an informal group of Scottish Genealogists who organise archive visits and CPD activities from time to time.
Andrew is currently juggling genealogy with a full-time job but will be full-time on genealogy by August of this year (COVID virus permitting). He also does family history talks from time to time to local groups. An interesting new development in the light of the COVID-19 lockdown is the online family history conference being run by Scottish Indexes on 9th April. He will be presenting there on the Records of the Kelso Dispensary.
