New RQG Member: Jean-Marc Bazzoni

Based in Essex in the UK, Jean-Marc has just completed the PGDip in Family and Local History with the University of Dundee. He is also currently doing The Completing Your Ancestral Journey Advanced Level Correspondence Course in Genealogy with IHGS.

Jean-Marc’s special areas of interest are French family history (he was born in France and his maternal line is French) and Essex/London research.

After retiring 2 years ago after 30 years police service, Jean-Marc did start his own Family History business after becoming an Associate member of AGRA. This has now been deferred as he is now working full-time in the hospitality business.

Jean-Marc is the editor of the Journal for the Guild of One-Name Studies as well as the editor of The Peeler, the magazine for the Friends of the Metropolitan Police Heritage Charity.

In February 2019, Jean-Marc will be giving a talk on the London Dock police at the NE Essex & Colchester NARPO branch in February 2019. (NARPO = National Association of Retired Police Officers).
