Karin has an MSc from the University of Strathclyde in Genealogical, Paleographic and Heraldic Studies (2019-21) and a BA from Oxford University in Experimental Psychology (1983-86).

Based in Kingston upon Thames, London, Karin’s particular interests are in travel and migration records. She has specific experience using French and French colonial records; paleography and writing genealogy narratives.

Karin is also a member of the Guild of One Name Studies and manages a study for the name Blizzard/Blizard. Her future plans include setting up a genealogy business, writing and possibly further academic study/writing.
