New RQG Member – Stephen Reid
Stephen is currently studying with Strathclyde University for an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies. He has completed the Diploma part of the course (year 2) and now enrolled for the final third year which should see him graduate with an MSc.
Based north of Aberdeen, Scotland, in a small village called Pitmedden, Stephen doesn’t have any special area of interest, he just loves all aspects of genealogy and have been researching his own family, and his wife’s, since 2010. He has also helped a few friends with their research and enjoys writing up the family history.
After working for over 25 years in aviation design, Stephen took early retirement in 2016. He is a member of the Aberdeen & North East of Scotland Family History Society and volunteers at their research centre in King Street, Aberdeen, assisting people who come in for help with their research.
