Description
Pollyanna is a graduate of the London School of Economics (LSE) in Economic History. This background in social history has been enhanced through qualifications from the Institute of Heraldry and Genealogical Studies (IHGS); the Higher Certificate in Genealogy and the Diploma in Genealogy. She also tutored for the Institute on graduation. Currently a member of AGRA and the Qualified Register of Genealogists.
She has a passion for social history. Using the records and resources found in archives and libraries to create a picture of people’s lives and their relationships. All set against the political and economic climate, giving a more personal perspective to the lives of our ancestors.
Research projects can be focused on a particular individual, an ancestral line or a property. Some clients just want assistance with a specific research problem. All assignments are written up into a research report and accompanied, where appropriate, by a drawn up pedigree.
Pollyanna’s research covers the whole of England, sometimes collaborating with other researchers in different regions. Living in Somerset, she regularly researches at Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire archives. But also spends time in the London archives (The National Archives, The British Library, Guildhall Library, Westminster and the LMA).
