Description
Lisa is a former Procurement Manager and Data Analyst of over 20+ years, with more than 10 years’ experience in researching Genealogy and Family History in the UK and Cyprus. Based near Ely in Cambridgeshire, Lisa has experience in researching for individual clients and also more widely for the village her family come from in Karpasia, Cyprus. She is currently writing a book on the family history of Vathylakas, an occupied village in Cyprus and has an interest in finding documentary sources for the villages of Karpasia in Cyprus.
Lisa researches in Cambridgeshire, surrounding counties including Herts, Beds, Suffolk and Norfolk and also in London and also has a strong research knowledge in Scotland. She also has a keen interest in developing her Heraldry skills, including the art of Heraldry in calligraphy and illuminations.
Lisa is currently studying the Masters degree of Genealogical, Paleographic and Heraldic Studies with the University of Strathclyde, having completed the PG Certificate in the summer of 2022 and the PG Diploma in 2024. Lisa is also studying the IHGS Heraldry Course.
Lisa is the Research Officer for Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire Family History Society; an Associate member of AGRA, member of RQG and APG, CUHAGS, Haddenham Local History Group, and the Heraldry Society. She works on Local history projects and volunteers to do transcriptions for aforementioned societies as well as in her spare time, taking gravestone photos for requests on www.findagrave.com and doing radio interviews on HCR and BBC Cambridgeshire about Genealogy.
