Author of that timeless classic The Alexanders of Bourtie, 1696-1886 (ANESFHS, 2012 – Bruce Henderson Award). Also author of the scintillating Referencing for Genealogists: Sources and Citation, published by the History Press in May 2018 . Administrator of the Mewburn one-name study; http://mewburn.one-name.net and of the Mewborn one-name study; http://mewborn.one-name.net. The Mewborn early history has been published in the Journal of Genealogy at DoI: https://doi.org/10.24240/23992964.2020.1234528. The history of the Mewburns has been published in 2022 as Mewburn and Meaburn: a history. This is a 660 page tome with a vast array of references covering all the Mewburns who have ever lived and died.
