Description

Joanne is a professional genealogist based in Staffordshire, West Midlands UK. She is currently studying for an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographical and Heraldic Studies with the University of Strathclyde, and has completed both the certificate and the diploma.

Joanne has a keen interest in local and social history, researching the people behind industry and occupations in the 18th and 19th centuries.

She is a volunteer at Staffordshire Archives and Redfern’s Cottage Museum of Uttoxeter Life. Her own family history concentrates on Wales, the Midlands, Lancashire, Yorkshire, and the US.

Joanne is an active RQG member and involved in the RQG mentoring scheme, student hub and communications group.
