Kirk, Sharon
Genealogist
Description
Kinsfolk Family History Research Services is based in Northumberland. I have been a qualified librarian since 1996 and worked in both education and public libraries. A feature of my work in public libraries has been workshops introducing people to the joy of researching their own family. I am happy to take on commissions of all sizes. Genealogy is the construction of familial relationships mainly from records. A Kinsfolk Family History Services family report goes beyond this. As well as providing a family tree, Kinsfolk Family History Research Services will place your ancestors in their social context providing information about occupations and relevant places. Records consulted may include parish registers, census returns, service records, directories, newspapers and probate records. The report will detail all avenues of research whether successful or not. It will comprise of a copy of a descendant tree, family group sheets, information about occupations and particulars of any relevant places. This enables you to “walk in the footsteps” of your ancestors should you decide visit for a day or holiday in the relevant areas. Visits such as this have been made popular by various television programmes and clients who have taken such trips describe them as being very emotive.
If you have hit a brick wall in your own research I will endeavour to help you overcome it using my experience and genealogical knowledge. If a family member has passed on research and you would like it organised I am happy to assist. Please enquire as the first consultation is free.
