As a teacher and a qualified genealogical researcher with an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic & Heraldic Studies, I understand the importance of history and the lessons we can learn from it. Learning about your family history can help you better understand yourself and society. Genealogy allows you to see history through the eyes of your ancestors, bringing life to the stories and tales found in dusty history textbooks.
My specialities include Scottish and Irish research, Glasgow and Clydeside history and burial records. My MSc dissertation was on the role of burial records in genealogical research.
