Professional Genealogist, Family Historian, Author
I qualified with an M.Sc. in Genealogical Studies at the University of Strathclyde in 2015 and established ‘Pinpoint Ancestry’, my own genealogical research business, the same year.
My aim is to ‘pinpoint’ your family accurately within their local setting. I am an experienced researcher and have undertaken research commissions on families in England, Wales and Scotland and was on the ‘Ask The Experts’ panel at Who Do You Think You Are LIVE in 2017.
My main genealogical focus is the lives of individuals incarcerated in asylums and I have co-written two books on the history of insanity in nineteenth century Britain. I lectured on this topic at Who Do You Think You Are LIVE in 2017 and will also speak at Secret Lives in September 2018.
In addition to the Register of Qualified Genealogists, I am also a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
