Valerie’s strong interest in family history for many years became a professional full time occupation after completing the Post Graduate Diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographic & Heraldic Studies at the University of Strathclyde.

Specialising in the records of Dorset, England, Valerie is also ideally located to access the record offices of Devon, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire.  She also has extensive access to UK wide resources .

Valerie is developing several talks based on her MSc dissertation: investigating the lives of the estate workers at Kingston Lacy, Dorset in the late Georgian period.
