Description

Hugh Scott Douglas is a professional genealogist trading as HD Genealogy, and a graduate of the University of Strathclyde, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographical & Heraldic Studies.

Most of his work is heir research: tracing the living relatives of people who died without a will, including estates held by the Bona Vacantia Division of the Government Legal Department. Every family link is proven from certificates, wills and probate records before anyone is contacted, and relatives are then supported through making their claim.

He also takes on family history, problem-solving and DNA research, either working on the whole case or advising.

He is within easy reach of London, so the National Archives at Kew, the British Library and the London Metropolitan Archives are readily available.
