Description
I am a professional genealogist, focused on research, speaking, teaching, and writing. I have been involved for over 15 years in genealogical and family research. My interest in family history all started when the 1901 and 1911 Censuses for Ireland were first released online in 2009 and 2010 by the National Archives of Ireland. At that time, I produced the family tree for my 4 grandparental lines and wrote their stories, and it quickly became a passion from there on in.
Prior to my work as a genealogist, I worked in the technology industry for many years. This background has given me a great grounding for research and using the various tools that are now available to genealogists, and in particular, an excellent understanding of how AI can help.
I have also published a book in the Maynooth Local History Series entitled ‘The Mansfields of Co. Kildare – a Franco-Irish Catholic elite family and their networks, 1870-1915’, as well as articles such as ‘The D’Oliers of Dublin City’ in The Huguenot Society Journal. As well as being a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists, I am also a member of the Irish Genealogical Research Society and a Fellow of The Huguenot Society.
Having lived in Paris for many years, I am bilingual, and currently divide my time between Ireland and South-West France. Thus, while specialising in helping clients uncover their ancestral roots in Ireland, I have also worked on family history for Franco-Irish families.
