Description
Joanne is a professional genealogist based in Staffordshire, West Midlands UK. She has completed an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographical and Heraldic Studies with the University of Strathclyde and is currently undertaking PhD research in History with Genealogical Studies.
Joanne has a keen interest in local and social history, researching the people behind industry and occupations in the 18th and 19th centuries. Her PhD topic focuses on women in the temperance movement https://temperancehistory.com
Her own family history concentrates on Wales, the Midlands, Lancashire, Yorkshire, and the US.
Joanne is a Director of the RQG and involved in the RQG mentoring scheme, student hub and communications group.
