Description
My first experience of genealogy was in 1980 when I visited the National Records office of Scotland, when you could review the original records (before the internet). I have been hooked ever since, culminating in achieving a MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies
I am based in the West of Scotland and have particular experience in Scottish family history and the Irish migrants who made such a difference to the cultural and political history of the area.
I also have significant experience in researching in the North of England in both farming and mining communities.
Due to my previous employment as a Consultant nurse I have an interest in health related research.
