O’Reilly, Trisha
Genealogist and family historian
Description
As a Scot living in London, my experience largely – but not exclusively – reflects a personal interest in the Scottish diaspora. I research mostly with British records but also stretch along the migration routes to the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. In addition my language skills have led to work in French and Scandinavian archives.
I look to provide context by integrating online research with visits to archives and libraries and incorporating findings from contemporary newspapers, directories, maps, legal and land records, and other sources to breathe life into bare facts.
