I have over thirty years experience of genealogical and heraldic research which included some nine years as a research assistant to various officers of arms at the College of Arms in the City of London.

I undertake all manner of genealogical research as well as offering an heraldic identification service to antique dealers, auction houses and collectors.

I have a particular interest in the following:

The history of the Livery Companies of the City of London having served as the Master of the Worshipful Company of Scriveners for the year 2013 – 2014.

Peerage and Gentry families with particular emphasis on the Tudor and Stuart periods.

British Military History.

I was elected as a FSA Scot in 2003.

    Dissertation: ‘A study of the genealogy of Francis Thomas de Grey Cowper, seventh and last Earl Cowper through the sepulchral heraldry displayed on his tomb at the Church of St Mary with St John, Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire’

    MSc in Advanced Professional Studies [Genealogical Studies] at University of Strathclyde
