Description
Beth Gare holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies. She has over seven years experience in genealogy and family history, and is available for clients who are interested in a genealogical or local history project tailored to suit their needs. Areas of expertise include English, Welsh and Scottish research, family tree confirmation and transcription services. All research projects are drawn up in a fully sourced report and where appropriate, a family tree chart is included. A narrative book can also be commissioned.
Beth is incredibly passionate about family history as a tool for connecting people back to the land and community. Although Beth’s focus lies on research in the United Kingdom, she has done extensive research in Germany and the USA, and is always willing to challenge her genealogical skills by researching further afield. Beth has successfully completed a number of courses in Medieval and 18th Century genealogy. Beth volunteered at Bristol Central Library from 2023-2025, assisting people 1-1 with their genealogy and family history projects, and showing them the family and local history resources that the library provides.
Beth is available to conduct research in the Bristol and Devon Archives.
