On behalf of the RQG Directors I am delighted to announce the names of those students who have been awarded the RQG Student Prize for best dissertation for 2024. We ask each of our recognised institutions to nominate the individual who submitted the best dissertation. Winners are not required to be RQG members and each will receive a voucher for £50.

The nominee from the University of Strathclyde for the Post Graduate Diploma is Joan Riddell and for the Masters degree, there are for the first time, two students were awarded equal marks; Belina Pumfrett and Jonathan Lodge who will each receive a prize. The University of Dundee winner is Yvette Hoitink, and representing the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies (IHGS) is Chloe O’Shea. Lina Goldberg is the nominee from the University of Limerick.
